Pohlcat first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by former PGA Tour pro, Dan Pohl and native son of Mount Pleasant.
The Chippewa River winds throughout the property and comes into play on #s 2, 17, and 18. The layout has a good mix of open holes but most are cut through the trees. Don’t just play the par three 17th hole; relish the view.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,954 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,140 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 579 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 159 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 482-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Pohlcat Golf Course is # 14, the 159 yard par-3.
